My computer is still freezing/pausingQ Hi. I have DVD X Copy Pro Beta Version 0.1 v1.5.2 & I set everything up and go to burn a dvd and the program freezes during the process when it attempts to write the DVD. I do appreciate any assistance anyone could give me in this problem. I have: Windows XP operating system w/ SP2 DVD X Copy Pro Beta Version 0.1 TDK indiDVD Burner (4X DVD+-RW Dual Format) The copy reads original dics ok, prepares to write, but hangs at 'initialising writing of DVD'. I have to crash the system to get out of it. In have tried the following & system still hangs; 1. Uninstalled DVDX version via add/remove programs. If it asks to uninstall gear drivers, answer yes. If it does not remove the listing from the add/remove programs box, simply unistall a 2nd time and it will remove the DVDXCopy listing from the add/remove programs box the second time around. 2. Go to the C:\Program Files directory. Delete the entire 321 Studios folder and everything in it. It is all leftovers from the older installs. 3. Reboot the PC. 4. Install the new version 1.52 5. Go to the c:\Program Files\321 Studios\DVDXcopy folder and locate the file "DVDXCopyInstaller.exe". Double click it to run it. Select "Install Driver Files". 6. Reboot PC. ALL Done. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! The funny thing is that it copies the entire DVD onto my harddrive & then when I go to burn disc 1 or even disc 2 if I skip the first disc, it freezes up, while it say's writing image. Thnere appears to be some sort of conflict when my burner receives the signal from DVDX to burn. I read the blacklist & the only program I am aware that I have on there is Norton, but I disable it before I open DVDX Copy. I have had SP2 on my Windows XP system prior to installing DVDX Copy. I have a AMD Athlon XP 2200 & a TDK IndiDVD Burner. I don't know what else to do to get this DVDX Copy to work. My buddy has the same Beta version & his works fine. I think when you close DVDX, it deletes the copy that it put on your hard drive. Plus most of my DVD's are over 4.7GB; therefore requires 2 discs. Can NERO 6 split the file into 2 discs like DVDX can? START THE PROGRAM,AT FIRST SCREEN GO TO ADVANCED OPTIONS,SELECT NERO FOR BURNING..NOW RIP YOUR MOVIE I am sorry, but do you want me to start NERO or DVDX & go to advanced options. I could not find that feature in either program. Sorry to be a pain, but I really appreciate your help. When I start DVDX, It tells me insert DVD & then finds the file. From there, I can copy the files I want to copy onto the right side. What compatibility mode should I run DVDX Copy in? I right cloicked on DVDX Copy icon & clicked properties, & went to compatibility. Does this make a big difference. My 4 options are Windows 95, 98 are you using a product bought from dvdxsoftware? or dvdxcopy? and we do not support dvdxsoftware on this forum... as dvdxcopy 152 does have the option in the first screen... as for compatibility mode its your call as we do not go into that area...
